Blog post dog food 4/5 (please read all 5 posts called "I feed").

What is the difference between dog foods I feed?

I feed 3 formulas of dry dog food to my dogs. The dog foods I feed today are Inukshuk Marine 25, Inukshuk Professional and Team Dog Elite.  Each food contains a link to my blog post about them.  In my life I feed dogs that are breeding dogs, lactating athlete females, working dogs, sporting dogs, young athletes, developing puppies and athletes.  My dogs require 30 percent protein and 20 percent fat which are 30/20 formulas.  Your dog may require these foods too if you are training my program.

What these foods have in common are premium 30/20 foods specially formulated to have high protein, fat and k cals per cup.  I feed my 8-week-old puppies – old age dogs these foods (all stages).  When I fed dogs 8 wks – 8 months I add fish oil supplement for more concentrated EPA/DHA (Salmon oils and fish meals provide these) for brain/ body development.

The difference between each formula is this:  Inukshuk Marine 25 contains no chicken. Marine 25 is Salmon, herring and whitefish, whole oats, whole barley and brown rice. Contains 580kcals per cup.  Inukshuk Professional is 720 kcals per cup, which the highest calorie dog food available.  It does contain wheat and corn grains, both chicken and herring meal.

Both Inukshuk formulas are for non-diet sensitive dogs and pups.   Team Dog Elite is best suited for sensitive diet eaters.  Team Dog Salmon/herring is made with lentils, millet and whole oats.  Still contains 30 % protein & 20% fat.  Is 577 k cals per cup.

It is my preference to feed a variety of premium dog foods to my dog pack.  At my house I rotate my 3 dog formulas.  It works like this,  my Belgian Malinois Sera; has  active fitness and training for 6 months, so I feed Inukshuk Pro for 6 months.  Marine 25 for 3 months and Team Dog Elite for 3 months. This covers all 12 months in a year. Rotating the formulas based on the training season conditions and demands.   Keeping my dog Sera in top physical condition with proper nutrient intake.
