All DTC Dogs Are Kennel Trained

The function of the individual kennel is to isolate and confine the dog to a given space for the housing and care purposes of dog training.  All dogs require to be kennel trained regardless of what training program they have been selected. Each individual kennel is furnished with dog training tools that directly transfer to life inside of a house living alongside humans.  The only way a dog can come into my house is after he has been trained.

The reason I kennel train all dogs and puppies is because it is a long term behavior management tool. Their kennel is large enough space that I can enter and have furnished with social training tools that apply to both puppies and adults.  Everyone knows that dogs and puppies are reactive and have behavior problems throughout their lives.  It is not easy living with a dog or puppy that is out of control, destroying your home and is not trained.

Social method dog training calls for each dog to have personal space to call his own.  In his kennel space the dog takes pride in what he knows and demonstrates to me that he understands what his bed, platform, stool and table is for because he is willing to please and wants to belong.  The kennel is a positive reinforcement space for puppies and adults in training.  It is comfortable for him and reduces the dogs unwanted behavior and brings forward the behavior we desire in our social trained dog.  

In the dog’s kennel is where I begin teaching social training exercises and obedience. My non discriminatory practice benefits everyone involved in the training process of the selected dog.   Dogs are not born knowing how to share space, resources or use them correctly.  The personal dog kennels are furnished to help us train your dog who has no experience in basic obedience or social skills that allow him to move forward and begin to share our homes, yards, community space with other dogs, cats and people.
